Recently, I had to re-design the logo of this cycle parts manufacturer. Now this clients company has been around for almost 20 years and he was a bit sceptical about changing his logo, thinking he might lose customers. After we showed him a few concepts & how it was in tune with the present time, he was convinced that a logo re-design is the way to go. So what made such an old & well established company to opt for a logo change?

Usually, big companies who have been around for longer than we have been dont want to change logos, stating it is their brand mark & changing it might confuse customers. But they tend to forget that the hippie font which was a rage in the 70s might be a big no-no in the present times. And this has a negative impact on the company. A logo re-design shows that the company is open to positive change which catapults it to new horizons.

For a company to succeed, its logo has to be unique & stand out even in a shelf full of its competitors products. An eye catching logo, which up to date with the present times becomes an instant hit with the customers & gives the much needed edge over competitors.

Companies launch new products or upgrades on an almost every month. With some major changes coming in the products, a logo change seems inevitable. It not only tells customers about the new products being launched, but also tells that the company is coming with fresh changes, starting with its logo.
4. Change in owners
If the company changes hands nothing says this better than a new logo which reflects not only the change of owners, but also business culture & ideologies.
